Jenna is a senior who plays the bass clarinet and baritone saxophone at New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois. She began playing clarinet in fifth grade, and later switched to bass clarinet in sixth. It was in eighth grade when she joined her middle school jazz program and added the baritone saxophone to her repertoire. Now, she plays in both the top wind ensemble and jazz band at her high school. In addition to this, she has led a clarinet choir for her school’s solo-ensemble performance and participated in three pit bands for school musicals. Some of her accomplishments are being selected to play in the North Shore Honor Band two years in a row and winning the Patrick S. Gilmore Band Award her freshman year, a nomination voted on by the band members to give to a student who demonstrates great achievement and commitment to the band.
