MeredithMeredith is a senior in high school and splits her time between Glenview, IL, where she lives with her family and Kent, CT where she attends Kent School. At Kent, Meredith plays the clarinet in the concert band. She is currently a member of the squash and rowing teams, and also ran cross country. One of her favorite things about attending Kent is that she studies with a Emmy-award winning piano instructor.

Meredith attended Glenbrook South High School as a freshman. While at GBS, she played bassoon in the concert band and performed keyboard/acoustic/electric guitars in rock bands outside of school. She also founded their rowing club.
Prior to that, Meredith played in the advanced band programs from elementary through middle school. In middle school, she played both piano and guitar for the jazz band. In addition to participating in the school band, Meredith has studied piano for several years and continues today. She has three gold medals in piano performance from the Northwestern University piano competitions.
Music is both a hobby and a passion for Meredith. She started playing piano at age 4, added clarinet at age 9, guitar at 10, ukulele and bass clarinet at 11, and the bassoon at 14. Meredith is gifted with something referred to in the music world as “perfect pitch” which she explains by saying, “I see notes – almost the way other people see color.”
